What can I expect a Sunday worship service to be like? 

We are a casual church with a down-to-earth vibe. You are welcome to come as you are; no need to dress up unless you want to. The service starts at 10:30 am. We open with a call and response prayer found in the bulletin; followed by hymns, scripture readings, a sermon, the offering, community prayers, and a closing hymn. On the first Sunday of each month, communion is served. There are no age or membership requirements to partake in God’s holy communion gift. The table is open to all! Our service typically ends around 11:45, and treats are served in the welcome center following the service. 

If children do not want to attend Sunday school or the nursery during the school year, they are welcome to stay in the service and play at the kid’s table in the sanctuary, sit with parents, or there are two wiggle rooms in the back of the sanctuary with books and toys. 

Will I be accepted? 

We believe all people are created in the image of God and have sacred value and worth. No matter what you believe or don’t believe or how you identify, we aim to be a safe and inclusive space for all. We welcome, affirm, and celebrate people of any age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, national origin, ethnic or cultural background, political affiliation, economic situation, and mental and physical ability. 

We are a Reconciling Ministry partner, which means we are committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion and justice. 

Do I have to become a member? 

Absolutely not, and there’s no pressure to join. If you would like to pursue membership at some point, your pastors are happy to talk more about what that entails. Whether you are new to town, new to church, new to faith, or finding your way back to church, we would love to hear your story and discover ways we can help you grow spiritually.
